What Is The Fissure Like Thing On My My Right Buttock Skin?
10 days ago I went to the doctors as felt a sore bit under the skin on my right buttock. She said it was a fissure and gave me cream and an 8 day course of antibiotics. Not any worse and not any better I can still feel it but not all that painful. What should I do thank you.
Your doctor has diagnosed the tear & soreness as anal fissure. Do continue to take the medicines you have been prescribed. Some anal fissures take a lot of time to heal, have patience.
Take warm Sitz bath twice or thrice a day & especially after bowel movements. Keep your stool soft by taking a lot of fiber in the diet & keeping yourself well hydrated.
You can apply topical lidocaine hydrochloride creams (Xylocaine) for relieve from pain. Do not strain during bowel movements.
Eternally applied Nitroglycerine (Rectiv) effectively promotes healing. Take all medications after consultation with your treating doctor as medications have side effects.
For chronic anal fissures, your treating doctor may suggest surgery, but recurrences may occur post-surgery.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
