What Is The Flaky Skin In My Pubes?

I have never in my life had sex with anybody and nobody I know of has had any type of STI. I have minor white flakes in my pubic hair and mild itching a few times a week. I also picked up a flake and examined it. It did not move at all and was just like a piece of dandruff. Is that even possible? It's not possible to have crabs without coming in contact with an infected person, correct? I have never applied soap or shampoo to my pubic hair. Am I supposed to?

Thank you for query.it may be due to unhygienic conditions as you are not using soaps or shampoos.if you fear use gentle cleansers.clean the area daily with it.you can consult doctor else end photos for diagnosis.
Also it may be due to fungal infection also.Use loose cotton clothes.Keep area dry.if fungal infection :Apply antifungals like terbinafine which is fungicidal.Once subsides use regularly antifungal dusting powders like candid or absorb powder to prevent recurrence.consult doctor if does not subside.You can get back to me for any clarifications with the photos.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist
