What Is The General Management Of Hypothyroidism?

I recently started taking iodine supplement. The t3 test came back and according to those results I was .300 away rom having hypothyroidism. I went to the lealth food stor and purchased Tri -iodine from terrys naturally I have not seen any change occur I seem to have a sore throat and am more tired than usual any thoughts for me . In most parts of the world, Iodine deficiency is NOT the cause of underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism). It is most commonly due to Autoimmune problem. It is not advisable to iodine supplements for the problem you have described without first finding the cause. I would advice you to get done a Free T4 and TSH and also Anti TPO antibody. If you are truly having underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) then the treatment would be Thyroxine and not iodine
