Hallow Dear,
Since your
pregnancy is just 29 days, it can definitely be terminated by medicines. However, these medicines are prescription medicines and should be taken only by Obstetrician's advice and under supervision to avoid complications like
incomplete abortion, bleeding, infection, etc.
According to WHO recommendations, you may opt for one of the following regimes:
1. Tab. Mifepristone followed after 24-48 hours by Tab.
Misoprostol single dose.
2. Tab, Misoprostol alone vaginally or sublingually every 3-12 hours for three doses.
Usually the abortion takes place within 3 days. It is advisable to ascertain the completeness of the abortion by
ultrasonography. You may visit your Obstetrician 7 days after the last dose of Misoprostol for follow up.
These medicines cause developmental abnormalities in the baby. Hence, if these medicines fail to terminate the pregnancy, the pregnancy should not be continued; it should be terminated by some surgical procedure like MVA aspiration or so.
So please do not consider this method as home procedure as it needs Obstetricians advice and observation.
I hope you got the message.
