Hello,
I have gone through your query and here are your answers: 1. Strone is natural micronized progesterone. 2. Used in your case for correction of progesterone deficiency either luteal phase defect or afterward, in view of your past history of miscarriage. 3. Hepatic function should be monitored closely during oral administration as the drug is mainly metabolized through the liver. 4. A maximum of 600 mg. can be given per day in divided doses until the 12th-14th week of pregnancy when the placenta takes over. Other forms of administration include injections, vaginal and/or rectal route. Wish you safe motherhood.
