Hello my grandmother is 84 and she was diagnosed with chonic heart failure 6 month ago, now she was retaining water and we too herto the hospital after 2 days, they sent her home. This week we went forbllod work and they found that the kidneys were not working properly andthey told her to ddrink more water. what is that i have to expect next......

The severity of heart failure is assessed by a parameter in heart scan called Ejection fraction . The lower the ejection fraction the more severe the heart failure is .
The severity of Kidney failure is assessed by Urine production per day and by test called Serum Creatinine . The lower the urine production the more severe is her kidney failure , the higher the value of Serum Creatinine the more severe is the kidney failure .
So kindly let me know her Ejection fraction , Serum Creatinine and her urine output per day . Based on this I will let you know her condition and possible outcome in future.
