I can feel a lump up the top of my vagina, not in my vagina but in the area next to it maybe my bowel. It is painful during sex. I get constipated a lot and have a little pro lapse after three children. Should I be concerned about this lump? Thankyou
Lump near the vaginal vault may come from ovaries, fallopian tubes or may be intestinal lumps. Vaginal cysts called gartners cysts can also be there. Soemtimes fibroids of the uterus may also grow into the abdomen and press upon vaginal wall.
There is no need to be concerned as these lumps are not uncommon. However it is important to get them evaluated so that they may be treated and will not grow and cause further issues. A correct diagnosis is important so please get evaluated for them as soon as possible.
