My husband had a tiny lump on his testicle 5 yrs ago, had ultrasound, lump was so small it didn't show up. Dr said it was a calcification and that was it. Fast forward to now 5 yrs later and the lump is bigger. Do you believe it's still a calcification or do yOu think it needs to be rechecked?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of your husband developing a small lump on the testicle for which ultrasonography was done and it did not show although your Doctor mentioned that it was a calcification. Ultrasonography shows calcification very nicely. Well, now that the lump has increased in size, he needs to go for ultrasonography and color doppler examination of the scrotum and abdomen. Calcifications usually appear in case of tuberculosis and such chronic diseases and should be investigated accordingly to get a proper medical and/or surgical treatment.
