What Is The Meaning Of Directed Thyroid Profile?
My doctor has changed my thyroid medication and now 2 months later wants me to have a directed thyroid profile. What does this test determine and what specifically are they checking for like TSH, T3, T4, Free T4. I am not sure. Your answer would be helpful. Thank you.

If you are not responding to thyroxine, your physician orders tests to determine where is the defect.Is it in the transport, metabolism or target organ resistance?He establishes a specific cause and treats that.
