I had a flu jab recently while I was having a mild flu. For a while, the flu seemed to clear but now the flu is back. Now I have a lot of phlegm and it s green in colour. Will Prozine Syrup help? or can you recommend any medicine? By the way, the flu I had before the flu jab was dry.
Hi,thank you for posting your query on health care magic.
The green coloured phlegm is suggestive of bacterial infection causing inflammation of respiratory tract.
You may find relief by taking the following medication: Antibiotic like Amoxycillin with Clavulanic acid, Analgesic with Antiinflammatory like Ibuprofen, Antacid like Rantac, Cough expectorant like Ambroxol and Prozine syrup(Promethazine).
Also do steam inhalation.Drink lots of warm fluids.Avoid cold food and dust.
After following the above measures,if your symptoms are not improving, then it would be advisable to have a Chest X-ray and consult a Physician Doctor for chest auscultation.
Hope this answers your question.Take care.
