What Is The Normal Testosterone Level Of A 63 Year Old Person?

my father is 63 years old and has been getting testosterone shots every 2-3 weeks. Our doctor hasn t done any blood work to check his levels so I m concerned. What should be the normal level for a man his age and if it is low how much should he receive?

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

Normal range of testosterone varies widely from 300 to 1000 ng/dl. In old age testosterone level reduced slightly but there is wide range. Mean testosterone level at age of 63 is near 500 ng/dl. But no treatment required up to 250 ng/dl. More over treatment depends on symptoms. Many male developed symptoms at low normal range.
So please tell me about his symptoms and get done with testosterone level once.
