Ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next menstrual cycle. Please remember that an unprotected sexual intercourse during the fertile or ovulation period only can lead to pregnancy. If the intercourse did not take place during this period, you are safe. Regular hormone contraceptive pills can be used in high doses in place of the emergency contraceptive pill.
