What Is The Painful, Pimple Looking Thing On My Child S Butt?
My 21 month old daughter has a pimple looking on her inner butt cheek. It has a white head and follows a red circle around it. She won t sit on it or let me wipe near it cause of the pain. Theres no fever or unusual activity coming from her. Is there anything I could do until I can get her into the drs?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a painful pimple on the inner butt cheek with a white head and followed by a red ring seems to be a Perianal abscess that can occur due to bacterial infection over the skin leading to accumulation of pus under the skin while it can also be due to infected glands in the area.. I would suggest you to consult a Pediatrician an get her evaluated and he can advise you to apply an antiseptic ointment over the abscess.. Do cool compresses to reduce inflammation and pain.. You can also give her acetaminophen to reduce pain.. Keep the area dry and clean and limit the use of dipers until the infection resolves completely.
Hope this information helps..
