What Is The Painless Bone Like Lump Beside My Knee Cap?

There is a small hard ball shaped bone like bump besides my right knee cap. It moves and causes snapping when I bend an put pressure on my knee. Fortunately I feel no pain. What could this be. I discovered it after a light bash to the knee. What could this be?

It can be a small part of your knee cap. Especially if it has appeared after some injury. Cyst which is connected with the joint is also possible. Both condition can give symptoms when putting pressure on the knee.
The best way to find out what are you dealing with is to have an ultrasound of the knee and X-ray. P
I suggest you to consult orthopedist with this issue.
