What Is The Pimple Like Red Bump On The Back Of My Head?

I have a red bump on the back of my head that is about the size of a big pea. It is somewhat hard and kind-of sensitive to the touch. Ive had it about 2 months. At first I thought it was a pimple and i popped it, but it just would not go away, now its a red pea sized lump. Have any idea what this may be and how I can get rid of it?

Cause of the red bump on back of your head-
Though not much information is there in the query,On the existing information it seems that you have-
Chronic Subacute Boil/Hairfollicle caused post combing trauma Or it could be
Sebaceous Cyst with combing bruise and soreness/
Or could be Epidermoid Cyst.Chronicity with soreness confirms it to be infective but needs to be ruled out from other causes of the scalp lump.
Remedy-
Consult Surgeon for Second opinion, who would treat it by investigation and clinical examination from many causes of such a scalp lump.
Anti-inflammatory / Antibiotics would reduce in few days time.
If not, Surgical Excision Biopsy with HPR would treat it totally.

Don't Selftreat or medicate in your case as the case may go in to further complications.
