What Is The Prognosis For Congestive Heart Failure?
My uncle passed away in early July, now his widow is in the hospital with congestive heart failure. She is in her late 50 s and has naturally been very brokenhearted and has also been under a lot of stress. She also smoked for many years. She was told that her heart is only at 25 percent capacity. Does she stand a chance at all?

Usually heart failure with low ejection fraction of 25% has poor outcomes.
But it there are better chances if patient quits smoking, follows healthy lifestyle and does doctor's prescriptions carefully.
So don't be upset and encourage your aunt to fight against disease.
