What Is The Prognosis Of Vascular Disease Along With A Gangrene?
I have an elderly relative receiving palliative care only now. She has vascular disease and now gangrene. Amazingly, she does not have a fever. She s getting weaker and eating less (not much at all really). How long can a 92-year-old go on in this condition? She also has stage 4 kidney disease and chf.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The prognosis in a patient with these conditions would be very limited. It could be days, weeks or less likely months. It really depends upon how strong her heart is and how much she is able to eat and drink.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
