What Is The Purpose Of Fertigyn Injection During Pregnancy?

Hi I am 8 weeks pregnant and my doctor adviced me to take FERTIGYN HP 5000 injection once a week for 14 weeks, but somebody told me this injection is a possible reason to give birth to a female baby, i am already having a daughter and i want a boy this time. plz revert me back is it true or not?

hi thanks for the consultation,first of all i would like to tell you that there is no such type of injections are available which will give birth to a male/female child.its just a myth.FERTIGYN HP is a chorionic gonadotropin which is usually given to such ladies who had history of previous abortion,spotting in previous pregnancy,p.c.o.d,or either in your present pregnancy corpus luteum is not seen in usg.so this injection will help in maintaining your pregnancy till placenta will be formed.if you will not continue this injection it may lead to miscarriage.so better you continue it as your doctor has advised you.no need to worry.wish you good health.
