What Is The Reason For Bump In Head In Elderly People?

My father in law has huge bumps on his head that pop on ther own and blood and pus come out. They make his head hurt and they have been on his head for.a couple years now. Please help with identifying whats wrong. He has been to many hospirals and no one knows what it is.

It seems that he might be having Carbuncle giving this problem.
Rule out diabetes and if it is there, keep under control.
Consult surgeon and get examined.
Plan of treatment can be decided after proper diagnosis.
