What Is The Reason For Calcitoneal, Seratonial And Fasting Gastrial Test For Diarrhea?

hello i have been having severe diareha for months now. I tested positive for C diff twice. Has gone away with antibiotics. I recently had a colonoscopy and dr said no polyps no cancer and the biopsy he sent away came back negative. so now he is ordering blood tests. I have been working with a gastroentorlogist. these are the names of the tests he ordered. calcitoneal, seratonial vip level 24 hr urine 5hiaa and fasting gastrial. would you be able to give me a little insight on these tests and why he may have ordered them

Hi. All the test are to rule out any other problem like sort of a cancer and other medical problems as a long history of diarrhea needs to be investigated for probable root cause. Go for this.
