What Is The Reason For Chin Pain For A 7 Year Old Child?

My 7 year old is complaining of chin pain. She says it feels like it is coming and going and like someone is hitting it. She has been sick with a cold virus for about a week or so. She saw the dr yesterday and everything appeared ok. Is there anything we are missing?

Hello

Chin pain can be common in children due to tooth pain or infection.
It can be due to calcium deficiency .
Osteonecrosis of jaw can lead to chin pain but incidence is very rare.

Consulting your doctor exact site of infection can be confirmed, antibiotic can be started according to examination.

If required you may need to do blood investigation for prognosis and recovery.

So do not worry it may subside with time.
