What Is The Reason For Cuts On Fingers And Nails Which Are Hard To Heel And Grow?
I have been having skin problems for a while now . My hands & fingers get cuts on them which are very hard to heal, also they hurt just to touch them. Can you tell me what may be the cause of these cuts? My fingernails have splits in them right down the middle, only one or two on each hand. They wont grow out or go away, what causes this?
You seem to be having contact eczema of the hands. See this is basically a skin problem in which there is a type allergy that the skin develops to any of the items that we handle. It can be any rubber or plastic item, it can be a kitchenware thing, it can range from simple things like onion, garlic, ginger etc etc. Even washing powders used for washing clothes and utensils can lead to such eczemas. So first of all it is upto you to try and find the causative agents. Next you might need treatment with both topical and oral steroids. You should consult a nearby dermatologist and take proper treatment.
