What Is The Reason For Having Extra Skin Between The Thigh And Vagina?

I have raised or extra skin in the crease between my thigh and vagina. My boyfriend was a little rough with me about 2 weeks ago & before the extra skin was there, that area was very sore. Do I need to get the extra skin removed or will it eventually go away on its own?

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

I think that this can be due to overgrowth of the labia minora so I will suggest you that the last option will be to opt for vaginoplasty in case you need to get rid of your extra skin.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sujoy S. Bhattacharjee, OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine
