What Is The Reason For Having Red Line In Inner Part Of Lip?

Hello I have a red line in the inner part of my lip on the top lip. I thought it was from my lip stick but when I tried to clean it off it was still there. Then I looked at it carefully and it was red almost it looked like if it was bleeding it does not hurt at all. When I touch it with my tounge I know it's there.
