What Is The Reason For Missing Period Inspite Of Negative Pregnancy Result?
I had UPT today at 8:00p.m., 16th March 14 and got the result negative which iam not understanding why because my last period was on 7th Feb 14 and I missed period of this month.my average cycle length is 34 days. Kindly help me to know if iam not pregnant than why I missed my period (this is the first time I missed period, it s always regular)and other thing is, UPT is always right?and still their is any chance of me to be pregnant?should I go for blood test?
Hi, A home pregnancy test usually reads well 3-7 days after a missed period with a fresh early morning sample of urine. Please remember that you were 38 days from your last cycle and this means that you were only four days post your missed period. You should either repeat the urine test after a couple of days as suggested or go for the blood test if you wish for a better confirmation. You may also see a specialist for further evaluation and also get a trans-vaginal sonogram to clarify the issue. Hope this helps.
