What Is The Reason For No Fetus Seen On Ultrasound At 8 Weeks And Is There Any Chance To Continue Pregnancy?

Hi i m 8 weeks pregnant according to my last date of periods.... today i had a ultrasound which shows only sac of 6 weeks....doctor gave me duphaston tab 2 per day along with gravibinon 2ml injection.... i had no spotting or bleeding...i want to ask what was the reason that there is no fetus n is there any chance to continue my pregnancy.... it z my first pregnancy n i m so confused....plz satisfy me

Hi. if it is 8 weeks by date now, then the scan should have shown the foetus with cardiac activity also. This report may be due delayed conception if your periods are irregular or may be blighted ovum when there is no development of fetus inside. If you had no spotting or any other symptoms , continue with the medicine your dr. has prescribed you and then get a repeat scan done internally (TVS) to see the final picture.
