What Is The Reason For Paralysis Stroke Even After Taking BP Medication?
Sir, My father is 73 years old.but suddenly he had attacked by paralysis right side 22 days ago. Although he had taken BP tablet Amlokind AT everyday. What happened. Now he Is totally unable to speak & unable to take food though he was cycling everyday. Kindly suggest me what will I do?
It is possible that the paralysis is due to a stroke which is a complication of high blood pressure. It can also occur in persons with a history of high cholesterol, diabetes, smoking , family history of heart disease.
His doctor will likely initiate the following: (1) control of any risk factors such as the high blood pressure, high cholesterol (2)physiotherapy to help him regain some movement if possible (3)to avoid bed sores, venous disease - his position should be changed regularly (4)may also need speech therapy if this is an issue
I hope this helps
