dear doctor, am the starting stage of 8 moths pregnancy. The concerned doctor prescribed l-arginine tab.for 15teen days. can i get right information about this medication of my case of preganancy. what is the use of l-arginine during preganancy.
Hi, Thanks for the query. Usually L arginine sachets are prescribed in case of less amniotic fluid. Normal placental circulation is important to produce adequate amniotic fluid. Sometimes less amniotic fluid can be seen due to different causes. In that case, L arginine usually increases the blood flow and there by increases amniotic fluid volume. It is prescribed in women with high blood pressure also. Associated products gives essential amino acids and nutrients. So, you can use the sachets as prescribed by your doctor. Repeat the ultrasound after completion of the treatment. Depending the report further management can be planned. Take care.
