What Is The Reason For Red Bump, Itching In The Site Of IV Insertion After Food Poisoning?
I got food poisoning about two weeks ago and went to a hospital to get iv since i was dehydrated. this past friday i noticed a red bump on my arm exactly on the spot where the needle was in my arm and it is very itchy. its a red round raised bump. i tried putting cortisone cream which has helped a little with the itchiness but it is not going away.

Thanks for query.those symptoms after a I've injection is Superficial thrombophlebitis.The condition usually settles and goes within 2-6 weeks. Treatments can ease pain or discomfort.regards
