What Is The Reason For The Scar Like Small Cuts On The Navel?
Hello. I have scars looks like small cuts on left and right of my navel. When I stretch my navel open it looks like the skin is tearing. Its very sensitive and stings. I put some moisturiser on it but no relief. I do fiddle with my navel often but never hurt it. What should I do? Thank you
Hi. As per your case history you are having dry eczema around navel. My treatment advice is - 1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply an emollient cream like Enmoist cream twice daily on it. 3. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the lesions twice daily. 4. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for itching. 5. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, fluconazole and topical potent steroid given only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
