Hi I am a 25 years old woman. Last year my doctor detected that I have nodal goiter while my TSH hormone level was normal and I didn't have hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. During a year I got one thyroxine tablet daily. After six months of starting my tablet, my TSH level was normal yet. But eight months later after two months of completing my tablet, my TSH level was 11.56 (6 digits higher than the maximum). So my doctor diagnosed hypothyroidism. May you please explain the reason?
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have nodular goitre. As you said you did not have hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism. So in my opinion there is no any treatment is required in that case. But you said you were taking thyroxine tablets so there is something missing. Either you had given radioactive iodine treatment and then thyroxine or there is some other reason. Please send me your all reports and treatment details so that I can help you further. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
