What Is The Recommended Safe Dosage For Utovlan?

Can you please confirm what is the correct dosage of Utovlan to take to delay a period. My nurse practioner who prescribed it told me to take 1 tablet a day, yet the leaflet supplied with the medication states 1 tablet 3 times a day? I am a little confused by the contradiction and there is no information on the Pharmasists label on the box.

Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Utovlan contains Norethisterone as active ingredient and it should be taken 1 tab (5 mg) thrice daily after meal. This dose is quite safe.

You should start taking those pill at least 3 days prior to expected period date and continue till you want to delay your period (max 1 week).

You will get your period within 5-7 days after stopping them. Good luck.
