What Is The Recovery Time After Bartholin Gland Removal Surgery?

Just a week ago i had surgery for removing my right side bartholin gland. How long it will take to heal? Will there any problem in having intercourse after healing? Cause we just got married 4 months before... This is stressful... Am afraid will it affect my fertility?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I have have reviewed your query. the healing time after Bartholin cyst removal is standard 2-3 weeks. it may be longer if there is infection and/ or reduced resistance of a person due to health conditions such as diabetes or ongoing medications that suppress immunity. it is best to avoid sex during this phase, to allow tissues to heal well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
