What Is The Recovery Time For 6th Nerve Palsy?

Hi Doctor, i am 31 years ols and having diabetes diagonised 2 years back. I am on insulin and my diabetes are on right track. One day it got very los below 44 and from next day onwards i felt double vision. I went to opthamalogist and Neurologist. That tols me its 6th nerve palasy. Can you please tell me how much time it will take to recover. Is Prism lens is recomendable.

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

Recovery can take several months, most improvement happens in the first 3-6 months, but in some rare cases may continue beyond that. As for using a lens that depends on how bothering the double vision is for you. It won't affect recovery serves only to alleviate your discomfort.
