Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 2 weeks post-op for Mortons Neuroma removal. The incision was done from the top, 3rd and 4th web space. I am having a lot of the same discomfort as before. The same area on the bottom of my foot is still painful to walk on. Also, the top of my foot and last 2 toes are now numb. I was warned about the numbness. But, I was told I would have immediate relief from the bottom of my foot since the nerve was being removed. In your opinion, will this pain in the bottom of my foot go away?
Hello,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are suffering from Mortons Neuroma . You should have recovered by now but it may take up to 1 month. You were warned about the numbness. But, you were told that you will have immediate relief from the bottom of your foot. I think you should have got immediate relief from neuroma pain. Same pain should not be there, it may be that the discomfort may be different and it will resolve in a month or so.. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
