Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Typhoid fever may take up to 10 days to fully recover or to become afebrile. But, while on antibiotics, the fever should decrease in intensity. If fever is not decreasing or the child develops complications like jaundice, altered sensorium, then the child needs hospitalization and intravenous antibiotics need to be given.

Take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Deepak Patel
