What Is The Recovery Time If Typhidot IgM Is Positive?
hi, my daughter 10 yrs old and son 4 yrs old are both typhidot IgM positive and CBC showing raised neutrophils 85 and less lymphocytes.They just had high fever for 2 days and 3-4 days of diarrhoea but showed recovery as soon as given cefixime and brufen. Please advise if they seem better and OK , still how long should they be kept at home and when should they start school and normal activity.. Also what is the chance of a relapse, and that did they just have a mild typhoid infection? am i too at high risk for typhoid as amum?

Hi, Typhoid Igm indicates recent typhoid infection, it will be negative upto 1 week after your child gets treated from typhoid. I think you should send the child to school until there is no fever for 4 days. Also you should start a multivitamin syrup after treatment is over for 15 days. I hope this has helped you.
