What Is The Red Bruise On The Knuckle Part Of My Finger?
On my index finger on the knuckle part if my finger there is a red bruise about the size of a dime approximately, and it s a little swollen (it hurts a little when you press down on it). My hand in general sort of hurts but on a scale 1-10 it only hurts like a 2. I was playing badminton earlier so I m not sure if it is just a bruise or could this be an infection because I do paint my nails a lot, which would be more severe. Should I be worried?
I can understand your concern for the red bruise on the knuckle part of finger.
Though I require a good resolution picture to rule out the exact cause but in my view I can make out that it might be simple bruise occurred due to friction during playing badminton or due to other trivial reasons.
There is nothing to be worried about the same and you do not worry regarding it.
It might remain for up to 1-2 weeks and then will subside by its own. IN case if it is increasing in size then can met you family physician to rule out any internal cause.
All the best.
