What Is The Remedy For A Black Eye After An Injury?
My 4 year old daughter pulled a coffee cup on her head three days ago. It got black and blue and a bump right away. It is above her eye. She is find eyes were not dialated, no sleepiness etc. But bump is still hard and now she has a black eye. Is this normal?
Hello It seems from the history that your daughter having black eye following injury and a bump on the head. The black eye is because of collection of blood in the layers of the skin of eyelids and the bump is because of collection of blood in the layers of scalp. Both these are self limiting conditions and no treatment is required as both are self resolving conditions and will resolve over 10-14 days. Since your daughter does not seem to have signs of head injury no need to worry. Applying cold compression will hasten the recovery.
Thank you
