What Is The Remedy For Alpha 1?
My husband was diagnosed with alpha1 almost 15 years ago. His doctor is looking into him having a lung transplant. I have read some of the stuff about this and naturally I am concerned about the outcome also the financial burden that we are already under since I do not work and neither does my husband.

Specific treatment in the form of IV alpha 1 AT augmentation therapy is available for individuals with severe alpha 1 AT deficiency. Hepatitis B vaccination is recommended prior to starting augmentation therapy. Eligibility for alpha 1 AT augmentation therapy requires a serum alpha 1 AT level
