He is already in hospital in Devon Alberta, they are very puzzled as to the problem. His family is worried I am a close friend and trying to find any help with suggestions that they can try to look for and may not have yet thought of. Thank you for your valuable time and all suggestions you may have. They know for sure it s not scarlet fever for certain Best regards, Wendy
Dear Wendy, The presentation of sudden rash, high fevers not responding to Tylenol and a high white cell count may be indicative of a bacterial illness. His doctors will send cultures and rapid testing looking for the causes which include viruses, bacteria and possibly parasites. Drug reactions, Kawasaki's Disease, Autoimmune disease and Cancer may also present with these findings. His recent travel history, exposure to illness, animals and his immune status are all things to consider. For more information PRMG pediatrics can review his medical records at 858 259 9689.
