What Is The Remedy For Hair Loss When On Essvit Tablets?

I am a 70 year old lady. I have been taking Essvit Tablets Bi-daily since last 4 months to stop hair loss. Initially, the treatment showed positive results. But after a couple of months the loss of hair has started again while the medication is continuing. Please advise!

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I would keep a possibility of Androgenetic alopecia, female pattern.

Androgenetic alopecia in females, initially gets noticed as widened part width which is followed by decreased hair density over the crown and vertex part of the scalp. The anterior hair line is mostly preserved in females as compared to Andrgenetic alopecia in males.

Treatment is topical 2% minoxidil in females, 1ml twice daily along with an oral antiandrogen e.g finasteride 1mg once daily. Biotin/Essvit tablet act as a supplement but may not be sufficient on its own

regards
