What Is The Remedy For Hair Loss When On Vitamins?

I'm 52 and Asian woman. I've been losing hair since 3 years ago. The doctor said most likely is menopause. I've tried different vitamins and supplements to stop hair loss, but no use. Now my hair is so thin and can see some scalp because of not much hair. Any suggestions!

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic.

I would keep a possibility of Androgenetic alopecia, female pattern, type III(Ludwig scale).

Androgenetic alopecia is genetically determined hair thinning and hair loss. In females it starts as widened part width followed by decreased hair density in the crown and vertex part of the scalp. The anterior hair line is mostly preserved in females whereas in male pattern androgenetic alopecia, there is recession of the anterior hair line as well.

Treatment is topical 2% minoxidil in females as compared to 5% in males, 1ml twice daily along with an oral antiandrogen e.g finasteride 1mg once daily.

regards
