Hi, In the current scenario, you need to contact your specialist immediately, get the coil removed and use hormones or styptics to arrest the bleeding. Once the bleeding is arrested, go for further investigations along with nutritional supplements to correct the anemia that may have been caused owing to the prolonged blood loss. You would need a trans-vaginal sonogram, blood counts, urinalysis, local exam to rule out local causes and hormonal profile. You should also get a vaginal and pap smear. Appropriate treatment based on the cause is curative; cancer is a rare possibility, it could be a hormonal imbalance. Hope this helps.
