I consulted a dermatologist for my hair fall problem and he prescribed me Amexidil 5% solution and Androanagen tablets. I have androgenic alopecia. I have been using the lotion and consuming the medication for last 6 months and the result has been satisfactory. But if I stop using Amexidil then again I will loose hair. Could you suggest some medication using which there will be permanent hair growth?? Or should I go for DHI?
Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic. Androgenetic alopecia is a genetically mediated trait. With treatment, you can only arrest hair fall, stimulate a few dormant hair follicles and halt the progression of the baldness. Once you stop treatment, your physiology will take over and you could lose hair again. How fast you will lose hair is something which cannot be predicted. Some people go bald within months and some take many years to completely lose hair. There is no permanent cure or solution for it. Hair transplantation is an option but in many cases you may need to continue minoxidil even after the procedure. Hope this helps you. Take care
