What Is The Remedy For The Severe Flare Ups Having Symptoms Of Dry And Swollen Lips?
I have flare ups for the past 5 years. My lips become very dry, stiff, sometime swollen, especially in the mornings. My my mouth is dry, there is slight redness around my lips, mostly the upper lip. no pustules. They become so dry, they crack on the corners of my mouth when I try to open my mouth, Cracks also happen when any part of my lipis stretched, i.e. talking, laughing, eating, which is quite painful. I have had a number of prescriptions, however, none seem to stop or ease it. Such as, Elidel, Fluocinonide and Desonide. The medication I take: Levothyroxine, Evista. Alendronate and just recently Lisinopril. PLEASE HELP, if you can. Thank You.

hello thanks for consult at hcm.Dry, cracked lips have also been associated with a deficiency of certain B vitamins.cracked lips (especially at the corners) can sometimes signal a folic acid deficiency.They also can be a symptom of a riboflavin (vitamin B2) deficiency. Those at risk- elderly or have a chronic illness or alcohol dependence. A riboflavin deficiency can typically be remedied with a balanced, healthy diet or a vitamin supplement.it could also be angular cheilitis with super imposed fungal infection..kindly consult general physician,, for a check up and furthr tests and treatment..hope it helps,,take c
