What Is The Remedy For The Sore Throat, Cough And Thick Mucus?
Hi, well I've had a sore throat, coughing, a lot of thick clogged up mucus in my chest and throat chest pain but no sneezing for the past two weeks. I thought it was a simple cold and that it would go away on its own in a few days, but it didn't. What could it be? What should I do?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat, cough and thick mucus which seems to be due to chest infection/ chronic upper respiratory tract infection. Need not to worry about it as it could be due to [poor immunity of body and increased susceptibility of getting infected. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles. You should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get chest x-ray done along with throat swab test and blood tests and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Take proper course of antibiotics. Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids. Apply mist humidifiers in room. Avoid cold carbonated beverages.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
