My doctor prescribed a one day diflucan pill for a yeast infection and it didn t go away over the weekend. I bought monistat one day and did it on Sunday. Needless to say it set my bottom on fire. I called her back and she prescribed a 3 day suppository called terconazole? I started this last night. This veining I have a clear stringy discharge with streaks of blood in it. Is this something I should be concerned with?
Hello, Thanks for writing to us. Monilial vaginitis is often associated with streaky spotting, urethral inflammation and burning sensation of the vulva. As you are on treatment now with a new drug, please inform your health care provider for exclusion of reaction, if any. Do not use tampons, vaginal douches and strong soap solutions. Abstinence should be followed while you are on treatment. Hope this helps.
