What Is The Right Time To Change From Dronis 20 To Yasmin?

i an 26yrs old,married for 2 months.i was taking dronis 20 for three months and shifted to dronis 20 this month which was a pack of 24..are there any placebo pills in that pack and i plan to shift yasmin from this month so when should i start that new pack..

Hi,

It is recommended to go straight from one pill type to another type of pill without leaving a gap or placebo pills in between when switching between one pill to another pill. Hormonal level doesn't fluctuate and ovulation doesn't occur in this way. Dronis contains both ethinyl estradiol and drospirenone that is used in the prevention of unwanted pregnancies from unprotected sexual intercourses. Again, Yasmin contains both ethinyl estradiol and drospirenone. So, you can go straight from Dronis to Yasmin pill without leaving a gap or placebo pills of Dronis (if available) in between.
