What Is The Right Time To Test Pregnancy?

Hi I am 14 days late for my period, I had a small dark brown streak 2 days b4 period was due, and many typical pregnancy symptoms. Including larger nipples which from previous experience has been my number one sign in previous pregnancies.i am now in my fertile window with no signs of ovulation which I can usually tell. If I am pregnant I would be just coming up for 6 weeks. Is it possible to still be getting negative results and how long can this take to show?

Hi,
I can understand your concern.
* Looking in to all the signs you have including spotting ( implantation bleeding), delay in periods & breast signs- you seem to have conceived, provided you had ovulation/ sex in that period, this month.The urine pregnancy test should turn +ve by this time.
- usually UPT gets +ve by 8-10 days of delay in period & blood HCG test can confirm pregnancy around the expected date of periods.
* In case the test is still -ve for pregnancy, it's irregular period due to hormonal imbalance, which also presents with sore breasts.It needs investigations like USG abdomen/ hormonal assay & a gynecologist's opinion to find the cause followed by treatment.
